Our rules exist to safeguard our fish stocks and protect our premises to ensure that everybody experiences an enjoyable visit to Meadow View. Please read these rules extremely carefully before visiting us, as failure to abide by the rules will result in being immediately removed and banned from the fishery. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN.
You are reminded that every angler should be in possession of a valid EA Rod License before starting to fish.
MEADOWVIEW FISHERIES - GENERAL FISHERY RULES:
Ø Our summer (APRIL- OCTOBER) opening times are 7am- 7:30pm.
Ø Our winter (NOVEMBER -MARCH) opening times are 7:30am- dusk.
Ø The gates are locked outside of these opening times.
Ø All anglers MUST report to the office upon arrival, if there is not a member of staff present then they MUST use the phone numbers provided.
Ø All anglers MUST a hold a valid EA rod licence.
Ø All anglers MUST be in possession of landing nets, unhooking mats/ cradles and these must be dipped BEFORE fishing in the dipping tank located near the office.
Ø All fish caught MUST be returned into the lake as soon as possible using a net or a sling.
Ø Anyone caught injuring or removing fish will be prosecuted.
Ø Anyone caught damaging property or stealing will be prosecuted.
Ø If any wildlife is seen injured or distressed, please report this IMMEDIATLY to a member of staff.
Ø Under NO circumstances should you stand up with a fish, when taking photographs, you MUST be crouched or knelt with the mat or cradle underneath the fish. Anyone caught standing up with a fish will be INSTANTLY asked to leave the fishery.
Ø NO towels to be used to hold fish.
Ø Anyone under 18 years old MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Ø Children MUST be sensible and not be running around the fishery.
Ø ONLY 1 spectator allowed on any lake, and they MUST report to the office on arrival. Any unauthorised visitors will be asked to leave the premises immediately.
Ø You must NOT climb or damage any property of the fishery, including trees.
Ø Strictly NO dogs or domestic pets are allowed.
Ø NO keep nets allowed UNLESS permission has been granted by Dave or Claire.
Ø All anglers MUST fish on the designated pegs only, NO fishing in between them.
Ø NO braided main line allowed on ANY lakes.
Ø NO fixed rigs allowed on ANY lakes.
Ø NO lead core leaders allowed.
Ø Barbless hooks ONLY, please refer to the individual lake rules to find out what size is allowed for where you are fishing.
Ø NO triple hooks to be used, if caught using one you will be INSTANTLY banned from the premises.
Ø NO surface fishing allowed on ANY lakes.
Ø NO swimming or wading in the lakes under NO circumstances, if you become snagged, please shout or ring for a member of staff and we will come to help you.
Ø ALL litter MUST be taken home or put in the bins provided. There are several around the fishery.
Ø The toilets on site MUST be used. Please do not use our garden as toilet, you would not like this in your garden.
Ø Strictly NO barbeques, or pit fires/ fires of any sort.
Ø Alcohol and illegal substances are NOT allowed on site.
Ø Vehicles MUST be parked in the car park, or safely in the laybys. You must not drive on the grass and there is a strict 5mph speed limit.
Ø All individuals must be considerate and show respect to members of staff, neighbours and to other guests at ALL times.
Ø If you are found to have damaged our property, you will be liable to pay for the damages.
Ø After 10pm, noise MUST be kept to a minimum.
Ø ALL anglers MUST be physically capable of landing and unhooking the fish safety or have a companion with them at ALL times that are capable.
Ø Random rig checks take place at ANY time, anyone that refuses will be asked to leave the fishery by the member of staff.

If you do not understand any of these rules, please speak to Dave or Claire and they can explain it more for you. We are here to help and ensure that all our guests have a safe and enjoyable experience whilst the fish are respected and looked after.
Anglers fish at MeadowView Fisheries at their OWN risk. We will not accept any liability for injury to anglers or guests.
Vehicles and personal belongings are YOUR responsibility, and we will NOT accept any liability for theft or damages to angler’s property.
This premises is closely monitored with CCTV for the safety of the fish and anglers.
MEADOWVIEW FISHERIES – LARK LAKE:
Ø ALL anglers MUST be in possession of a valid MeadowView membership to fish on this lake.
Ø ALL anglers MUST be in possession of a 42-inch landing net (minimum), A carp cradle/ crib and A carp care kit.
Ø A minimum 15lb fishing line MUST be used.
Ø Night fishing times are 2pm-2pm , therefore all anglers MUST be packed up and off the peg for 2pm.
Ø In summer, day fishing times are 7am- 7pm. In winter, day fishing times are 7:30am- till dusk.
Ø The cabins and the pegs MUST be kept tidy and left how they were found at ALL times. Please make sure all the cabin property such as tv remotes etc are left where you found them in the cabin.
Ø Upon your arrival, if there is any damage, or litter on your peg please report it IMMEDIATELY to a member of staff or we will assume it is yours.
Ø All our equipment must be looked after and respected.
Ø If you are found to have damaged our property, you will be liable to pay for the damages.
Ø During the day opening hours, the fishing lake is spilt 50/50 down the middle for the day anglers and the night anglers.
Ø During night hours, you ARE permitted to fish to the other side of the lake.
Ø STICTLY NO tents.
Ø Barbeques may be allowed, with permission from Dave or Claire.
Ø The fishery is secured at night, if you need to leave the fishery in case of an emergency, please phone the office number.
Ø If you need assistance at ANY time, please phone the office number.
PLEASE ALSO REFER TO THE GENERAL FISHERY RULES, THE BAIT RULES AND THE INDIVIDUAL LAKE RULES.
MEADOWVIEW FISHERIES - BAIT RULES:
Ø NO surface fishing or floating baits.
Ø NO cat or dog food.
Ø NO spodding.
Ø NO tiger nuts or peanuts are to be used.
Ø NO bait boats are allowed, UNLESS permission is given by Dave or Claire.
